MARBLE CAKE

Marble cake is heavenly in every form, but in combination with Boerinneke chocolate spread it is simply divine. You’ll want to eat every last crumb!

Which ingredients do you need?

  • 5 eggs
  • 25g self-rising flour
  • 1 sachet vanilla sugar
  • 250g sugar
  • 175g butter
  • 85g fondant chocolate from Boerinneke

METHOD?

1. Bring the butter and fondant to room temperature
2. Add the sugar, the vanilla sugar and the egg yolks to the butter and beat into a light, smooth mixture.
3. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Sift the flour.
4. Carefully fold the flour and the egg whites into the sugar, butter and egg yolk mixture.
5. Add the chocolate to 1/3 of the cake batter.
6. Transfer the plain batter to a greased cake tin and carefully fold in the chocolate batter at the top.
7. Bake the marble cake in a 160°C oven for 45 — 50 minutes.
